As you get ready for Spring and get back outdoors on your patio or deck, you may be wondering if it’s time to upgrade your outdoor furniture.
If you are one of those folks, Sierra Structures has done the research on 2023 outdoor patio furniture trends.
4 Spring trends we are seeing for outdoor patio furniture are:
1. Recycled and/or sustainable materials: Reclaimed wood is a popular new trend for patio furniture this year. Using it for tables, benches, counters, etc. is not only affordable, but it’s great for the environment by reducing landfill space. Also, using repurposed items for planters and decorations adds a great touch.
2. Bold colors: This one always seems to go back and forth between subdued too bright and bold. This year, bold is back. Look for cushions, pillows, etc. that stand out and add a space of vibrancy to your furniture.
3. Merging with the indoors: For patios that extend off a kitchen, many furniture trends are designed around merging the two. This could include matching the kitchen with the patio, or even extending the indoor space into the outdoor patio by opening sliding glass doors—converting two spaces into one.
4. Built-in furniture: Are you tired of lightweight furniture that must be moved or stored away for weather reasons? One last trend we expect to see this year is furniture that is built right into the patio. That includes benches, tables, couches, and other seating that is either a part of the wood or fastened to it.
