The winter season began on December 21st, 2021 and will last until March. During this time of year, many homeowners close off their deck because of the cold weather. Here are three deck use ideas for the wintertime:
1. Holiday parties: Many individuals host their holiday parties inside, but we challenge you to move the fun, or at least some of it, outdoors. With deck heaters, the cold air doesn’t have to restrict your festive activities. Grab some of your closest friends, your favorite cookies and hot chocolate, and enjoy your time outside. 2. Relaxing hot tub: Who said you must go somewhere to have a relaxing spa day? Install a hot tub on your back deck for the ultimate experience not just in the winter but all year long. You can also revamp the space around the hot tub with heated seats and blankets.
3. Enclosed deck: If you’re not a fan of the cold, many homeowners choose to enclose their deck so that they are away from all the winter elements. This allows you to do all your favorite activities like reading, doing crafts, or just relaxing all in the comfort of being inside. This way, you’ll still be able to view the outdoors through the screen or glass for when it snows.
