The Difference Between Commercial Fence Projects and Residential
Posted May 11, 2020 to Before You Buy: Tips, Advice, Checklists.
At Sierra Structures, we like building. We work with both residential and commercial clients to create fencing, structures and additions. However, there is a difference between our residential and commercial clients, and we have worked hard to make sure that we are able to meet and exceed the expectations of both types of clients.
Here are the differences between residential and commercial clients:
- Form vs. Function: While we make sure all our jobs look good, our commercial clients tend to have more purpose to their projects than our residential clients. Typically, our commercial clients are primarily concerned with safety and security, while our residential clients are primarily looking for structures that add value and curb appeal as well as keeping pets or children safe and secure.
- Regulations: Although homeowners may find city, county permits and Homeowners Associations difficult our commercial clients have normally have strict regulations to adhere to when installing fencing or structures on their property. The scope of commercial projects is normally much larger and complex.
- The in-between: Sometimes the commercial and residential worlds mesh, such as when we work on apartment complexes or a commercial client adds recreational areas to their spaces. This is where we get to put all our experience and knowledge together to create a truly unique space that provides the aesthetics and comforts of residential projects with the function and regulations that must apply to our commercial clients.
We’re proud that we can provide the best of both worlds to our clients throughout the Durham and Raleigh areas. Whether you’re looking for a backyard escape at home or safety and security for your business, we have the knowledge and experience to make it happen. Contact Sierra Structures for a consultation for your next fencing or outdoor structure project.
