Why it’s best to Leave Fence Installation to Professionals

As outdoor structure professionals in the Triangle area, we know a thing or two about building fences and we think there are some jobs that require professionals. While we are all about the weekend warriors out there, installing a fence is one of those jobs that we think is better left to the pros.

Here are four reasons that we think hiring a professional to install a fence is a good idea:

Cost: While DIYing might seem less costly, by the time you purchase materials at retail price, all the extra tools you end up needing, and the price of your personal free time, the cost difference doesn’t seem that big.

Experience: Because fencing professionals do this every day, they’ll be able to get the job done right, and get it done quickly. They’ll be able to navigate through trouble areas (such as dips in the land or boulders where a fence post needs to go) more easily because they see those issues all the time and already know how to solve them. They’re well-versed with the equipment and materials needed and know just how to adapt them to each situation.

Quality: That experience leads to quality. At Sierra Structures, we value quality in both our work and our materials. Our installers are trained to do things correctly the first time, and our materials are always high quality.

Efficiency: Putting in a fence is a long, tedious job. With a professional team, it can be done fairly quickly—in a day or two for most clients. For the DIYer, it would take time to order the materials and go to the store to pick them up or hope they’re delivered on time. Many people give up an entire weekend, or even take precious time off from work to build a fence.
